Water's Edge
Crafted for a high-end 74-unit new development, the logo for "Water's Edge" embodies sleek sophistication and warmth, tailored to appeal to affluent Millennials and mid-life transitioners.
Combining typography and animation, I designed a ligature by juxtaposing fonts that evoke the shape of water waves and the architectural symmetry and sophistication of the Water's Edge building.
I utilized After Effects to animate the logo with a captivating watery effect, implying an action of the logo emerging from water.
The tagline I created: "We are Water's Edge," is intended to emphasize the welcoming community [by using the word We - as in it is something they can be a part of] they aim to create. Including Water's Edge emphasizes the prime location next to the water.
After building the logo and selecting the fonts, the rest of the collateral followed suit.

Adopt-A-Pet
Approximately 6.3 million companion animals enter U.S. animal shelters nationwide every year. Of those, approximately 4.1 million are adopted. That leaves 2.2 million yearly that are left languishing in cages or euthanized.
Despite the numbers of animals needing homes, many people that are willing to adopt, report feelings of frustration and fail to adopt when interacting with shelters and rescues. Shelters are so busy caring for the animals and/or operating on low (or mismanaged) funds that public facing procedures are sorely neglected. Money, time and strategy is needed to advertise, interface with and screen the public.
*These estimates are based in part on Shelter Animals Count.
Let's create an app to make adopting a pet from a shelter easier. The goal is to improve the lives of both humans and animals.
Created as part of the Google Professional UX Certification Course.

Sand & Stars
Inspired by the elemental forces of creation, love, and transformation—and by Karina’s own journey, that of her ancestors, and the greater human story they reflect.
Sand & Stars is a live performance piece set to a song from Karina’s original album Water and Heat.
This original work was conceived, composed, produced, arranged, choreographed, and designed by Karina—a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans music, dance, and visual media. Drawing on global musical traditions, the album as a whole chronicles a personal and ancestral search for illumination—an intimate journey that reflects the universal human experience.
Though the album traces themes of creation, love, and transformation, the Sand & Stars piece hones in on human migration—echoing the rhythms of nature and celebrating the sacred essence we all share.
The Water and Heat album features richly layered compositions that blend rare and evocative instruments—kanun (Turkey), sintir (Morocco), Afro-Cuban percussion, harp, piano, cello, upright and electric bass, French horn, Turkish violin, guitar, flutes, and more—into a sonically immersive tapestry. Each piece is a cinematic exploration of emotional and cultural transformation, piecing together fragments of lost worlds to create a sense of home within them.
The album includes performances by a celebrated roster of internationally recognized musicians: Amit Chatterjee, Jojo Mayer, Tim Lefebvre, Al MacDowell, Jay Rodriguez, Eddie Bobé, Hassan Issikut, Luis Perdomo, Jennifer Vincent, Vincent Chauncey, and Henry Hey.
In 2016, Karina brought this music to the stage at the Manhattan Movement & Arts Center in New York City as part of a broader dance festival. She choreographed a trio dance performance, performing alongside two other dancers. The piece was brought to life with original costume designs and hand-dyed silk veils, all created by Karina (sewn by Gulya Abdu, with veils hand-dyed by Meg Fairycove and Karina), and a custom video backdrop she designed to deepen the visual narrative. The visual component also featured a painting by Alexander Ganelin.
The piece honors Karina’s personal story and ancestral lineage—its journeys, struggles, and spiritual illuminations—as a microcosm of the broader human story.
This project is a seamless fusion of sound, movement, and visual design, reflecting Karina Khal’s unique artistic voice and a burst of expression across disciplines.

Bill Bone of COMPASS NYC
Bill Bone is a Broker at COMPASS Real Estate NYC. He first approached me for assistance with Logo design (both static and animated versions). Then, I designed a series of digital ads for his brand from 2023 through 2025
Logo design. This collaborative endeavor successfully produced a logo that met both static branding requirements of COMPASS and animated engagement needs, delivering a comprehensive and impactful visual identity for Bill's brand.
Digital Advertisements. Objectives were to increase clicks, enhance readability, maintain brand consistency, and optimize the limited space available (300 x 250px) for digital advertisements. The challenge lay in conveying the message effectively while accommodating both visuals and sculpting copy within constraints. First Static Ad results: 4,897 ad clicks to website during run March 10 to June 12, 2023. Client returned for additional projects through July 2025.
